Quick trip to Mt. Charleston, Nevada - October 2018

My parents were passing through Las Vegas while I was there for a conference so we headed up to Mt. Charleston for some nature and views. The last I'd visited this location in the fall had been in 2010 and the color change of the quaking aspen was breathtaking.

Instead of hiking up to Cathedral Rock we stayed in the car and took 158 north to the Desert View Overlook. Here's where we ended up:

It was much less walking for my parents and still beautiful views.

We decided to stop by Cathedral Rock before heading back to the city and we caught sight of some quaking aspen! Not as many as before, but still beautiful.
