This barely qualifies as an outdoor excursion, but I'm including it anyway. One of T's friend came out here to visit and wanted to drive up to the San Francisco area and back in the same day just for fun. I mostly sat in the back and looked out the windows. I had never been north of the Granada Hills area so I figured, why not go along for the ride. Couldn't believe how many walnut groves there were and the hills looked like sand dunes because everything was so dry. Got a few photos of the hills and wind turbines at different times of the day. Made me want to take a nice long trip up north at some point (and we have since then).
